At Dandy, we have a huge passion for great food and quality coffee, prepared and served the way it should be and under strict guidelines.
We have a precise preparation routine for our coffee, from the way the coffee is ground to order to the length of time it pours from our beautiful, handmade La Marzocco.
Every shot of coffee is timed and if it doesn't run within our strict time limit, we will not serve it to you. Simple as that.
All of our menu is produced on the premises and made fresh to order using only the very best produce available to us. We will never compromise on quality.
We believe that our customers deserve the very best and we strive to provide that every day.

At Dandy we believe very strongly about sustainability and the environment. The impact the disposable coffee cup has is huge with over 500 billion being produced every year. More than 1 million end up in landfill every minute (Source Jim Hanna www.oneearth.org April 2012)
All of our coffee cups and lids are fully biodegradable as they are made from plant starch and not plastic. All of our greaseproof paper, bags, knives, forks, spoons, sleeves, pots and trays are also fully biodegradable and compostable. We want to reduce our impact on the environment wherever we can and we are always looking for ways to improve, if you have a suggestion, please get in touch.
One thing we have done is to stock reusable cups. We stock KeepCup and Frank Green. Frank Green is a smart coffee cup meaning you can pay for your coffee by simply scanning your cup. Frank Green donates to Earth Watch who carry our vital scientific research to help the environment.
We want to encourage the use of reusable cups so when you buy one from us you get a discount every time you use it. This will hopefully encourage others to do the same and join us. You can read more about Frank Green here and KeepCup here.
We also stock reusable Yuhme water bottles. They are made in Sweden from sugar cane and have a negative C02 emission. With every water bottle sold a donation is made through their partner Water For Good to provide one person in the Central African Republic with six months of water.
All of our used coffee grounds go to Anneville Farm in St Martin to fertilise their crop soils. We also have a little worm farm that we put some of our green waste into.
Our latest effort is that any food we have left over that would otherwise be thrown away is donated to the food sharing platform Olio. Here you can share any unused food items with everyone in the community and is proving to be incredibly popular.
Got something to say? We want to hear from you.
